Crews & Co-Creation
You’re invited to join a crew as part of your Play Fest experience.
We’ve created this structure not “just” to make tickets equitable for our community and avoid the helper vs. regular ticket divide, but as a co-creative, communal foundation for the Creature Gathering.
Crew Shifts & Meetings are integrated into the program to inform a “work together, play together” collective vibe of shared investment and ownership!
You’ll be assigned to a crew based on your preferences during signup and the overall needs.
Crew Assembly
we’ve pre-structured a number of crew assemblies into the program, while you’re also invited to gather with your crew as much and as often as you’d like :)
Thursday Crew Meeting - between arrival and the opening ritual - an invitation to drop in with one another and your crew lead, ground and arrive together into the Creature Gathering, get to know one another. We’d love for you to arrive in time to meet with your crew

Sunday Crew Closing (all, ~ 16:00) - as part of our closing ritual, we’ll also invite a Crew Closing moment of togetherness.
Crew Shifts
Crew Shifts are scheduled 1 hour after the meals - most of us will have a shift during 3 out of 9 meal breaks.

How We Work Together
Conscious Play Fest is fully co-created.
Rather than dividing roles into “crew” and “participants,” we asked:
What if everyone helped, just a little?
We approximated the number of hours needed to keep the festival flowing — and discovered that with just 3 hours per person, we could share the load evenly and create a space built by everyone.
You’ll be part of a crew with a dedicated lead. Your shifts will be integrated into the festival rhythm, so you won’t miss out on workshops or offerings — the only exception is the workshop assistant crew, whose members stay in the sessions they support (and facilitators have been asked to keep that in mind).
Offering a Workshop or Ritual
There will be a designated area and a system for you to offer something to the group (a workshop, ritual, or experience). If you’d like to contribute something, you’ll be able to propose it and gather interest during the festival itself.
Staying to Help with Strike
If you’d like to stay later on Sunday and help with strike, we’d really appreciate it.
This isn’t a replacement for your existing crew role — just an extra offer of support if you have capacity.
Departure for strike support is by 21:00.
